Introduction
The songs highlighted in green are considered my best work and recommended to listen to them first if you are not familiar with my music.
Every song has a story. I hope you enjoy!
All songs are by organic io unless otherwise marked in the "song title" section.
2016-2019
Lots of life changes during this period. I also started busking. I'll try to post some relevant things here.

2019 | June | Pace of Love | OGC Alpha 04 - Love is an amazing thing. I was very inspired when I wrote this one :) |
Renoise |
2019 | May | Salt Flats | Quick progressive trance tune done for a One Hour Compo I held on OGC. Surprisingly I actually placed first. :) |
Renoise |
2019 | April | Hallowed | OGC Alpha 03 - This is the proper song I wanted to write for Luisa (RIP). My soul went into this one, and sometimes I play it live on the streets with acoustic percussion |
Renoise |
2019 | February | Mickrip & organic io - Observatory | OGC Alpha 02 - So, I actually started this one a number of years ago, and was inspired by Harmony Steel. It sat unfinished on my hard drive, and then I decided to resurrect it for the compo. I mostly did the intro, Mick did the fun parts with the guitar, and I added a bit of subtle live percussion. Very fun, and as always it's a pleasure to work with Mick! |
Renoise |
2019 | January | Unfinished Song for Luisa | My very close friend Luisa passed away in December 2018. I was still very much dealing with grief and loss when I tracked this. I wrote "Hallowed" some months later. Honestly, I still want to write her an entire EP |
Renoise |
2018 | August | Salem Revival Project - Seeing Through the Rift / Radical | Two of my absolute favorite songs to play live with Julian. He wasn't amplified, so I apologize that the percussion is mixed so loud... But it seems relevant to post here for posterity |
N/A (Live performance) |
2018 | July | "Newsong" (unfinished), with live percussion | I started this song in August 2017 while I was in Oregon. I haven't finished it yet, but I've tried busking with it and playing the percussion live. |
Renoise / Live performance |
2018 | June | Salem Revival Project - Heavy | Recorded on Julian's porch. I was and am still learning about production for acoustic tracks, obviously too much reverb on this |
N/A (Live performance) |
2018 | June | Salem Revival Project - I Burn Sage and Napalm | Actually one of my favorite SRP songs. I'm glad I got some old recordings of it, because Julian and I have had rigorous discussions about how the beat should be on this track. I think it should be more of a bluegrass thing, and he wants more of a calypso thing. :P This was live while busking |

2015
2015 was a quiet year, with only a couple of live looping tests. However, I want to get back into tracking, and I've got some ideas planned for 2016!

2015 | 02 | Live Looping Test 2 (Acoustic Insistence) | This one's a bit darker, with some lyrics created with a random sentence generator. A nice gritty flow. This looping stuff has a lot of potential! |

2015 | 01 | Live Looping Test 1 (Wimaway) | Finally tried out some live looping. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". So much fun! This has a lot of potential :) |

Nothing monumental this year. I pushed myself to write a couple of songs and told myself it is OK if they are not epic masterpieces.

2014 | 05 | Bio EA - Mio Mio | SDC085 - Experimental song in 7/4 with me singing French Vocals. "Mio Mio" is a being from an alien planet, I imagine a cross between Wall-E and E.T. |
Renoise |
2014 | 03 | Repast Redux | Remake of my 2010 chiptune. The instruments are all cleaned up, and I played the percussion live on the Cajon. |

2012
Thanks to the Mobilepro and Sunvox, 2012 is one of the most productive years on record. I don't think I've ever had more FUN writing music than this year. Sunvox taught me so many things about sound design which I will carry forward into Renoise and future projects. In 2012, I started using Reaper to mixdown projects exported from other software (Sunvox, Renoise) so I could get more control over levels/effects/etc. I also started getting more involved in playing percussion at church around this time.

2012 | 08 | CrossBit and organic io - Lose CTRL | Fun breakbeat track done with my buddy Jake. |

2012 | 07 | Spring Tide | Progressive House in 7/4 time signature. Supersaw pad, tons of melodies, and I designed most or all of the synths myself in Sunvox. A personal favorite |
Sunvox/Reaper |
2012 | 06 | Crows Fly | Done for Hastycompo 06. Kind of a dark acid song, still developing my sound design skills in Sunvox |
Sunvox/Reaper |
2012 | Demo | 05/27/12 Jam 2 | A fun jam session with me and Thomas. This was my 1st time playing acoustic drums. I think the e-drum practice crossed over pretty well :) |

2012 | 05 | Ashen Light | SDC066 - Had a lot of fun designing my own sounds with Sunvox on this one |
Sunvox |
2012 | 04 | Myview (ambtax1 cover) | Cover of ambtax1 song. I always felt a connection with his original. A song about dealing with depression. I like his voice better than mine though :) |
Renoise/Reaper |
2012 | RPM05 | Antisleep (Vocal Mix) | Wow, this song didn't know what it was missing until it found the vocals! I tried some new things with vocal processing here. Love this song |
Sunvox/Reaper |
2012 | RPM04 | Cami and Scott - Fight for What You Offer | This song was technically challenging for me to play drums on because of the little "extra beat" in the chorus. Actually turned out to be fun though :) |
Reaper |
2012 | RPM03 | Acoustic Shock | One of my favorite songs! Just check it out :) |
Sunvox/Reaper |
2012 | 02 | Antisleep | Chilled out 5/4 tune for the Box10svc Sunvox compo |

2011
2011 Marks the beginning of my obsession with "Mobile Tracking". Initially it started in Milkytracker on PocketPC (with a keyboard), but around October I got the Mobilepro 900. Also, Cami and I did an RPM album in February. Nothing professional sounding, but it was good practice and a lot of fun! I started using Reaper for Multitrack recording, because I had already been using it for my Addictive Drums projects.

2011 | 06 | Quiescent | My first song in Sunvox! Done for a Sunvox compo that I held over at warmplace.ru. This was just the beginning of things to come.... :) |
Sunvox |
2011 | 05 | Distant Tower | SDC060 - I tracked this in Milkytracker on PocketPC, and then imported it to Renoise to add FX. I had so much fun, I knew more portable tracking had to be done :) |
Milkytracker/Renoise |
2011 | 04 | Eastern Billows | Song for the Renoise Knockout Tournament which I held that summer. I lost in the first round to Keith303... But that's OK, because it was Keith303!! |
Renoise |
2011 | 03 | Aquifer | A short chiptune I did for a NES compo we held in the SDC forums |
NTRQ |
2011 | 02 | Evolutionary Cell - Critical Bypass | SDC057 - Paul and Scott are back at it again.. This one is graced by Paul's fine vocals and the vocals are balanced by some synth melodies by Scott |
Renoise |
2011 | RPM10 | Cami and Scott - Flow (aka Train Station Song) | Wow! I love this song so much. Simple but good. I came up with the piano part while she was laying down vocals for another song. She liked it, sang to it, and I added the trumpet the next day. I'd love to remake this song with a real trumpet at some point :) |
Reaper |
2011 | RPM09 | Soltre - Genuine Never | This Soltre song was actually recorded in 2006. For RPM2011 I added the drums. Wish I had more time to work on it, but I remember doing it literally an hour before I drove the CD to the post office that morning. P.S.. I don't remember the gypsy accordion/trombone part being so long :) |
Reaper |
2011 | RPM08 | Cami and Scott - Speak What They Don't Know | It may not be perfect, but I really like this one. It's like a long funky jamsession. :) |
Reaper |
2011 | RPM06 | Evolutionary Cell - Artificial Chill | Paul and I had already been working on this for a while, so it was just a matter of adding Cami's vox for the RPM version and finishing it up |
Renoise/Reaper |
2011 | RPM05 | Cami and Scott - Love is Grand | Another rushed RPM tune, this some kind of ambient/piano/vocal stuff |
Reaper |
2011 | RPM04 | Brambles (Feat Cami) | A redo of my 2008 song. She improvised the vocals (lyrics and all) and IMO nailed them on the first take. It blew me away when I first heard it. I didn't do much vocal processing on it because I wanted to preserve the raw feel of the original. |
Renoise/Reaper |
2011 | RPM02 | Cami and Scott - Love is a Fighting Train | Obviously rushed, there's a lot of things I wish we did better about this song. However I still think the song itself has potential |
Reaper |
2011 | RPM01 | Cami and Scott - This is The Sound of Love | R&B song for RPM, we worked hard on this one. It came out OK but not as nice as either of us wanted. Always good practice though |
Reaper |
2011 | 01 | Respect to Gomola Speed | SDC055 - By this time, my drumming is getting good enough to include in some songs. This is a cover of a song from an old TG16 game "Gomola Speed". |

2010
In 2010, I built my DIY electronic drums. I have many, many recordings from that era. In addition, I got oldschool and used a P100 laptop to compose a couple Impulse Tracker songs. If the P100 hadn't died, I probably would have kept using it. Who knows, then maybe I wouldn't have discovered Mobilepro/Sunvox and would be on a totally alternate path today

2010 | 03 | Autumnal Splendor | SDC053 - Last song on the P100 Laptop before it died. Drum&Bass in 6/4 time signature? Perhaps too abstract for most peoples taste if the compo rankings are any indication. I dunno, I liked it though :) |
Impulse Tracker |
2010 | Demo | Live Drumming - 10/26/10 | Just a short recording of me drumming on my DIY e-drums using Addictive Drums. I had been drumming for about 6 months at this point. Trust me, I have many many hours of this stuff that you DON'T want to hear :) |
Addictive Drums/Reaper |
2010 | 02 | Never Had a C64 | Short little Chiptune I did for a chiptune compo we had in the SDC forums. Done in Cybertracker for C64 in an emulator. I wanted the song to be longer, but the C64 ran out of memory. Working with limitations is cool though. But difficult :) |
Cybertracker (C64) |
2010 | Demo | 4/21/10 Decabuddy 12/8 Test | My 1st test of playing drums and humming into the microphone at the same time. Obviously my drumming is kinda shaky since I had just started playing, but still I think this idea has a lot of potential! Eventually I wanted to get proficient with this where I could be a backup band by myself, but unfortunately I haven't practiced enough since then... |
Addictive Drums |
2010 | Demo | 04/15/10 Addictive Drums Test | My first recording after getting Addictive Drums working with my DIY e-drums. I didn't have pedals set up yet, so this is all on the sticks. Fun stuff! |
Addictive Drums |
2010 | 01 | Repast | SDC047 - I booted up my Pentium 100 laptop, and there was only 1 thing to do: Write a chiptune! Melodic and uplifting |

2004 saw more unfinished FL Studio projects and only one complete song. While I loved vsti's and liked the piano roll in FL Studio, the rest of the FL Studio workflow didn't really flow with me. Little did I know what awaited in 2005 :) Also of note, Cami and I had a band called "Mile's End". I've included some of those recordings. Mile's End band members were:
Ray (Guitar), Leon (Jazz guitar), Cami (Vocals), Scott (Piano), and later Tremain on drums. Unfortunately I think the the drum recordings were lost.
